About to embark on some home renovations or re-styling a room in your home? Loving the look of our furniture but struggling to choose the size, style or colour? We could have the answer…

Creator of the UK’s No1 interiors blog, interiors journalist and writer, Kate Watson-Smyth of Mad About the House will shortly be launching her first online interiors design course in partnership with Create Academy and we think it looks fantastic.

Having spent the past 20 years writing about property, interiors and design, Kate is an award-winning design journalist writing for national newspapers including The Independent and The Sunday Telegraph as well as writing the best-selling Mad About The House book series and an interiors blog to boot. Kate’s philosophy is that ‘your home should tell your story. It should make your heart sing when you open the front door’ and we couldn't agree more.

Launching on 29th September, the online interiors course ‘Finding Your Own Interior Design Style‘ shares Kate’s expertise on creating a home that works for you, your family and your budget. Giving you a real depth of knowledge, advice and ideas, you’ll learn how to navigate all aspects of an interior design project; from finding your own style and where to look for inspiration as well as planning spaces, developing a cohesive colour scheme, getting the lighting right.

With five hours of learning, made up of 25 lessons each lasting between 10 and 15 minutes each, you’ll be able to work through the course at your own pace while getting a practical guide that will help you tackle any (or all if you’re feeling ambitious!) room in your home.

On top of the lessons, there’s also a series of downloadable workbooks to help you keep track of what you’ve learnt as well as some really helpful resources for room layouts, spatial planning and sourcing.

The course is £127 but if you sign up to the Create Academy newsletter, you’ll get a 15% discount. Find out more or book your place HERE.
